NJIT Motion Capture and Film Studios

The NJIT Motion Capture and Film Studios is a project created for the purpose of providing students with the
space to engage in extracurricular activities. A tessellated geometry to accommodate several creative work
spaces including, a green screen, motion capture, and computer lab was created. The interior architecture
forms are divided into three dodecagonal volumes which allow the space necessary for creative ventures with
new digital technologies. The lobby is a double height space providing several means of circulation for the
students. All other hexagonal interstitial spaces found on the first level are utilized as open work areas.
The second level also enjoys circulation which is made possible through volumes by miniature bridges. These bridges provide different sight lines to extend the multiple double height interstitial working areas for students.
